"Mother Earth in her Forest" Paper Clay Mixed Media sculpture portraying Mother Earth with sashes around her neck of colored Sari silk ribbon that signify the earth elements of fire, water, land, and air. I have used natural components of lichens and galls as well as wood pieces. A swimming salmon, owl, birds, and snails along with fungus on the wood are made with paperclay and are painted. The dress is an eco-printed cotton fabric dyed with elderberries and other local plants. Her arms are twigs. The sculpture is sealed for protection from dust. The sculpture is approximately 18x18" and 21" tall. Available for purchase.
